A Dithyramb for Dionysius
The pagans’ll like this
A celebration for a god who makes grapes into wine
Snapped shake off the vine
In a place we forgot over time
In a world that ages each day into smouldering decay
Wasting away
What world do we live in
Do we hand out pearls to the masses
They sit down on a beach
With a towel and a speech
Say all lives matter and bask in the heat
Well how about a dose of the truth
From a generation that speaks bolder than you
With a screwed face and middle finger up to Colston
Throw the colonists in the ocean
Lost at sea with the rest of the urchins
Man that don’t stop the skirmish
The world is burning
The world is hurting
We bend and break so much the world stopped turning
Blue faces, marooned cases
And words that take shape as snakes
We take the a list off the radar
We raped Mother Nature
So I sit and wait for a gaping quasar
