Stoke is based on my home town. It’s a terrible but beautiful place that has provided me with joy and tears. As someone who believes that my area should be improved and beautified, this song describes my call to arms for creatives in Stoke itself, the situation with our ever dwindling political systems, many references to places in Stoke, and the historical aspects that once made our city great. Well it’s still great, I guess.
